I’m a passionate graphic designer in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada – the most eastern (and oldest) city in North America. I was born here on August 8, 1977 and raised in Logy Bay, a small community just outside the city. Growing up, I always had a love for art and spent a lot of my time drawing. This love led me to pursue a career in graphic design.
Experience
In June 2000, I graduated from College of the North Atlantic with a diploma in Graphic Design and started working at The Telegram, the largest local newspaper. My job there was to design print ads for their advertising clients, as well as do some occasional editorial layout. For two years, I designed hundreds of ads that appeared in the newspaper on a daily basis.
In January 2003, I began working at Applecore Interactive, an award-winning interactive marketing agency. Here I gained valuable industry experience designing for a diverse range of clientele and a wide variety of applications. Logos, ads, brochures, point of purchase displays, posters, post cards, rack cards, signage, stationery, trade show booths, you name it…I designed it. In fact, most of the work in my portfolio was done as a team member of Applecore Interactive. Since Applecore is into interactive marketing, I also learned a lot about the web and specialized in graphical user interface website design. On top of my design duties, I was promoted to Studio Manager to supervise the art department and had a seat on the company’s management team.
In December 2009, I left Applecore Interactive and currently I am a freelance graphic designer.

Personal
In May 2005, I met the girl of my dreams, Tara. In August 2008, we got married and had a wonderful honeymoon in the Carribbean. In our spare time, we enjoy travelling, hiking, biking, camping, swimming, playing tennis or just curling up together. I would not be the man I am today without her love and support.
